Thursday, the 20th of October 2022, the training of Libyan universities' entrepreneurship and innovation centres, which began on February 2022 in cooperation with the Southern Mediterranean University (SMU), was concluded. The training aims at developing and supporting these centres to provide better services to students, build their staff capacities, develop strategic plans that would support entrepreneurship at the university, create a link with the business community in Libya, and establish Career and Alumni centres within the universities.
The directors and representatives of the centres presented their strategic plans and next steps before a judging committee that chose the best plan. In the presence of Dr. Saleh Al-Ghoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Libya, Mr. Ali Naseer, President of the Libyan Industry Union, Mr. Julien Schmitt, Program Director at Expertise France in Libya, and Mr. Mohamed Al-Aswad Deputy Director of Programs at Expertise France, Ms. Nadia Kallel, Mr. Noaman Lehimer and Ms. Dora Abedi from Southern Mediterranean University.
This activity is part of the EU4PSL program funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France to support the Libyan private sector and disseminate entrepreneurship culture among youth.
