As part of the EU funded project EU4PSL, implemented by Expertise France to support Libya's private sector, the national women entrepreneurs TV contest (Raedat) wraps its second edition and announces the 12 winners who received a financial grant to transform their ideas into projects or develop their businesses.
Thirty women from all Libyan regions pitched their projects and competed to convince the judging committee of their businesses' feasibility, market potential, and employability. By the end of the show, 12 women had been announced winners and benefited from the financial support and excellent visibility.
Initially, the participating 30 women were selected through a call for application conducted by local CSOs, each CSOs worked closely with Expertise France to propose 5 participants from their region. The two women with the highest score from each episode won the grant in addition to a chance to meet potential investors.
The online show was also streamed on the local TV channel "Tabadul". The episodes featured reports on several Libyan distinguished women entrepreneurs who have succeeded in managing their businesses or positively impacting their regions.
