Seizing the Economic Opportunity for Libya in the New Global Economic Shifts

"Seizing the Economic Opportunity for Libya in the new global economic shifts” is the focus of the workshop that started yesterday the 8th of August 2022, in Tunis, and gathered representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Finance, the National Council for Economic and Social Development, the National Planning Council, the Misurata Free Zone, the Almareesa Free Zone Benghazi, Urban Planning Department and Customs Authority. The workshop was presented by the international economist and investment expert, Mr. Kevin O'Connor.

On the first day, the participants discussed and assessed the current economic situation in Libya and analyzed regional and global economic trends to identify new opportunities available globally. On its second day, this workshop will address many topics, including the best locations and sectors in North Africa for doing business, FDI statistics and trends in North Africa, and FDI best practices to attract investment to Libya.

Notably, this training comes within the EU4PSL program funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France to support Libya's private sector and economic diversification.
